What’s behind the CEMS Club Vienna?

The CEMS Club Vienna (CCV) is an association of CEMS students studying at WU Wien. As a networking platform between corporate partners, CEMS Alumni and CEMS students, the main goal is to combine the academic program with social and professional events. The close contact to various corporate partners and other Austrian companies also raises the awareness of the CEMS programme.

The CCV was initiated by Austrian CEMS students in 1999. Due to a European CEMS board decision in 2000, every CEMS university has had the possibility to found a CEMS student association since then. The national CEMS representatives are elected by their national fellow students.

What are the functions of the CCV?

The CCV represents all Austrian CEMS students on a national and international level. The activities involve decisions concerning the programme content as well as organizing events with corporate partners, such as company presentations, workshops, rotation dinners etc. In addition, various social and cultural events contribute to the club’s networking aim.

What are the powers and duties of the CCV on an international level?

The CEMS Student Board consists of one or two student board representatives of each country/university and is enshrined in the CEMS constitution. Three annual meetings offer the possibility of actively co-develop the CEMS programme and to submit constructive improvement proposals.
