For today's most successful corporations enterprise information systems (EIS) have become an integral part of their operations and strategy. It is fair to say, that the EIS is as essential to the modern enterprise as the nerve system is to the human body. Moreover its strategic role is further gaining weight as innovation and supply landscapes are becoming more flexible just as they are becoming more geographically distributed. This environment poses a number of cutting-edge questions to today's CEOs:

  • How can I go about aligning my corporate strategy with my strategy for enterprise information systems?
  • How can enterprise information systems further sharpen my competitive edge?
  • What are best practices in calculating the ROI of a specific information technology investment?

This highly interactive workshop will reflect on these questions, based on real-world experience and first-hand expertise.

The Speaker:

Frank M. Siereveld, M.Sc., M.Sc., Senior Director Value Engineering, SAP AG

  • Frank M. Siereveld is a Senior Director of Value Engineering at the SAP AG. He is leading the Best Practice Centre on the EMEA level (Europe - Middle East - Africa) of SAP.
  • Management: Prior to SAP Frank worked as a Director for PeopleSoft and as an Associate for Deutsche Bank.
  • Entrepreneurship: Frank founded cofounders.net, a global network for entrepreneurs launched at Stanford University and Harvard University. He is one of the cofounders of Portfolion Corporation.
  • Strategy Consulting: At the Boston Consulting Group and later at the 3i Group, a pioneer and leader in private equity, Frank started his career.
  • Education: Frank holds a Master in Engineering from the highly regarded Stanford University, where he spent a total of four years as a research and teaching assistant. Before that he earned a Degree in Applied Physics and Computer Sciences from the Technische Universiteit Delft.
